Good from what I've heard. I think they're just being cautious since there's an assumption he'll get a shot with the big club this year.

Good to know. I really like the idea of a Iafallo - Kempe - Vilardi line. All young guys. It will force one or more to step-up in terms of on-ice leadership.

Can’t wait to see valardi.

I also think his back issues are more precautionary than anything. Boy that would really hurt if he continues to have those issues.

Check out nhlprospectreport.ca. I just wrote an article for them on Gabe Vilardi and would love to get some feedback.

So you have 200 goals between the Kings top nine forwards and top six defensemen.

So, to clarify, unless your projecting the 4th line forwards to pick up ~20g between them, you're projecting the Kings to have a 30g+ dropoff from last season and to be a bottom 5 scoring team in the league?

Just counted it up and Kings produced 45 goals outside the top 9 and 6 D pairing listed last year. That amount surprised me some, but takes into account guys coming in/out of the lineup due to injuries, younger guys getting shots, rental players and so forth. Having said that, I'm not sure if Cammaleri's 4 and Gaborik's 6 should really be counted, but there will be surprises, trades, etc. every season.
